Junior Mason Andersen continues to lead the Sun Devil men's golf team through the second round of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational held at Isleworth Golf & Country Club (par-72/7,544 yards).
Andersen is at 4-under 140 (69-71) and is tied for seventh just three shots off leader Finigan Tilly of California. Andersen and Tilly are the only players in the 75-player field to be at 4-under or better on the par-4 holes after two rounds. ASU is in seventh.
Andersen is now at 14-under in eight rounds at the Tavistock after finished tied for eighth at 5-under 211 in 2018 (70-74-67) and 2017 (69-71-71).

LAST YEAR AT TAVISTOCK: ASU posted its best round of the 2018 Tavistock Invitational with a 10-under 278 on Tuesday to finish tied for second behind Vanderbilt at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Fla. ASU finished the fall season with a head-to-head record of 44-6-1 as it posted three second-place and one fourth-place finish. Mason Andersen (70-74-67) climbed nine spots to finish tied for eighth after shooting 5-under 67. Andersen, completed the final round clean with five birdies while Vanderbilt's Will Gordon won the tournament after finishing 16-under 200.

Andersen shot a 5-under 211 (69-71-71) and finished fifth, just six shots back of winner Dylan Meyer of Illinois who shot an 11-under 205 (67-66-72).. In the first round, Andersen was at 2-over through his first five holes then birdied two holes, posted par and then opened his back nine with an eagle on the par-4, 409-yard No. 10. His second round he posted five birdies, while in the third round he had three birdies in his first eight holes. He was one of just two golfers in the 90-man field to shoot 5-under on the par-4 holes and had 13 birdies, tied for fifth on the weekend.
