Quotes
Arizona State head coach Sanja Tomasevic
"We're going to take a win, but it was an ugly win tonight. We're going to take a win, but I'm not really thrilled or excited with the way we played."

On playing Utah on Sunday
"They're a really good team. I love what they're doing over there. They have weapons all over the place. They do a good job, their really good middle is back this year. Utah has a good team and they're going to give us a run for our money. Hopefully we can protect the home court."

Junior middle hitter Megan Beedie
On going back to the basics
"I seem to rely on my teammates and my coaches. So when everything feels like it's up and down, you go back to the basics and think, 'What do I have to do on this point?' And just getting my other middles telling me what's going on, what I need to do and look out for. It really helps me slow things down."

Senior setter Callie Jones
On how focusing in practice translates to performing in games
"The game starts the day you come in, whether it's Monday or Tuesday, whenever we come back from our day off. It starts then and we just need to execute more consistently. And that will help us in games, because we practice what we're going to do in games. So if we're inconsistent in practice, we're going to be inconsistent in games. So I think just leveling that out, taking every rep more seriously, and just dialing in every play in practice is going to make games a lot easier and a lot more consistent for us."

Set One: Arizona State 31, Colorado 29

After Arizona State started the match missing the first two serves, Colorado led 4-2. A three point service run from Peterson helped the Sun Devils pull ahead and maintain the lead for the majority of the set. The Sun Devils and the Buffaloes battled deep into the 20s, despite 16 service errors between both teams. Six kills from Burse and five digs from Jones helped propel the Sun Devils to a 31-29 victory, with the final kill coming from Isanovic.

Set Two: Arizona State 25, Colorado 22
Arizona State started the set down again with a 4-1 Colorado lead but battled back. After an ace and a four point serving run from Isanovic, Arizona State pulled ahead to lead 9-7. Colorado tied it up at 12, but after a challenged call was reversed in the Sun Devils' favor, Arizona State pulled ahead and maintained a lead for the rest of the set. Five more kills from Burse, along with four kills from both Isanovic and Jeremic pushed the Sun Devils to a 25-22 win, with the game-ending block coming from Jeremic and Boyd.

Set Three: Arizona State 16, Colorado 25
With an ace and a block to start the match, Colorado started strong with a 3-0 lead over Arizona State. After an ace from Isanovic and a three-point serving run for Peterson, Arizona State came within one point to Colorado at 7-6. That would be the closest they would come to Colorado throughout the set, with the Buffaloes producing 10 blocks, 10 kills and 13 digs in the set. Even with three kills from Jeremic and two solo blocks from Burse down the stretch, the Sun Devils fell to the Buffaloes, 25-16.

Set Four: Arizona State 25, Colorado 18
The final set between the two teams was a battle to start, with the lead changing several times.
Arizona State took the definitive lead at 15-14 with an Isanovic ace. A huge block from Jeremic and Boyd put the Sun Devils on top at 19-15. Five kills from Beedie and an ace from senior libero Courtney Leffel led the Sun Devils to match point. A net call on the Buffaloes with an unsuccessful challenge in an attempt to hold off the win failed, resulting in an Arizona State match victory.
