TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 13 Arizona State gymnastics is hitting the road for the first time this season, traveling to Texas Woman's University for a dual meet on Saturday.
The Gym Devils (2-1) opened the season with a quad meet at home last Friday night. They took second, beating out then-No. 23 Minnesota and Illinois-Chicago. In the first Road to Nationals rankings, ASU's score of 195.000 earned them the No. 13 spot.
Cairo Leonard-Baker led the team in the first meet with a 39.200 all-around score. She earned 9.900s on bars and floor, the first 9.900s of the year. On vault, Kaitlyn Szafranski and Morgan Wilson both notched 9.800s for the Sun Devils' best scores in that event. Justine Callis led the beam squad with a 9.800.
