NORFOLK, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced their list of Scholar All-American team awards on Tuesday, and for the 11th consecutive semester, both Sun Devil Swimming and Diving squads earned the honor.
The streak dates back to the Fall 2013 semester, while the Sun Devil women's squad increased their team-wide GPA by almost two-tenths of a grade point, up to 3.45 in the Fall of 2018 from their 3.27 mark they achieved in Spring 2018.
With a 3.27 team GPA, the No. 15 Sun Devil men ranked third in the conference, behind only Stanford (3.31) and Arizona (3.30) while the women's 3.45 team GPA was good for fourth in the Pac-12.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the oldest organization of college coaches in America. The professional organization is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
To win the award, teams were required to post a collective 3.0 GPA higher.
The Sun Devils close out their home stand this weekend, hosting No. 1/4 Cal and No. 7/3 Stanford. The meets can be live streamed via the Pac-12 Plus Facebook page, and live results can be found on Meet Mobile.
