Shelby Houlihan won her 11th U.S. title and Maggie Ewen grabbed a bronze medal at U.S. Outdoor Track Championships in Des Moines in late July as the pair makes a push for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The Sun Devil NCAA champions competed in the shot put (Ewen) and the 1,500-and 5,000-meter runs (Houlihan) at Drake Stadium on the meet's final day.

Houlihan, a 2016 Olympian who trains with Bowerman Track Club and is from Iowa, added to the 1,500 title she won. She won the 5,000 in 15 minutes, 31.03 seconds ahead of Rachel Schneider (15:32.71).
