Incoming freshman Lieske Carleer and the U19 Dutch squad joined France as the final two European teams to earn a spot in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2020 after both sides advanced to the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship Scotland 2019 semi-finals.
The two teams join Germany and Spain as the third and fourth European teams to qualify for next year's U-20 women's event.
Carleer and the Dutch team opened group play with a resounding 5-0 win over Norway before falling to France, 3-1, and closing out the group stage with a 4-0 win over Scotland.
France will meet Spain in the semi-finals of the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, while the Netherlands will take on Group B winners Germany.
The Netherlands competed at the U-20 Women's World Cup for the first time at last year's competition in France, where they advanced as far as the quarter-finals, before falling, 2-1, at the hand of eventual third-place finishers England.
