TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Triathlon is set for a full summer schedule that began last weekend with Gal Rubanenko at the Weert ETU Triathlon European Championships and Olivia Jenks at the Pleasant Prairie Cup. Sat., June 1 – Weert ETU Triathlon European Championships: Gal Rubanenko
Results
 
Rubanenko competed at the European Championships on Saturday in the Netherlands, racing to a time of 1:57.57 for 50th place in the elite women's division. The competition marked the beginning of Sun Devil Triathlon's stacked summer schedule.
 
Sun., June 2 – Pleasant Prairie Cup: Olivia Jenks
Results
 
Jenks raced to a top-20 finish in Wisconsin, placing 20th with a time of 1:04:47 in the junior elite female division of the Pleasant Prairie Cup. The sophomore got off to a hot start and never looked back, as she put up a time of 9:47.8 in the swimming portion for the 9th fastest time in the field of 75 and put up similarly fast times in the following bike and running segments.

Sat., June 8 – Eagle Creek Triathlon: Kenzi Wilson
Results

Wilson took second among women and 24th overall in Indiana, racing to a time of 1:01:19 in the 500yd swim-10m bike-3m run triathlon event. The junior finished just 13 seconds behind first place and put up the fastest bike time (7:48.9) among women and fourth fastest overall. Wilson was also one of the youngest female competitors in the field.

Sun., June 9 – Trinona Triathlon: Rebecca Naughton
Results

Naughton represented the first Sun Devil to take the top mark in an event on the summer, racing to a time of 2:26:13 in Minnesota. She also finished nearly three minutes ahead of second place

Sun., June 9 – Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon: #SunDevil4Life Katie Gorczyca
Results

Sun Devil for Life Gorczyca took a top-10 finish in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, one of the premiere tri events in the country. After falling behind early in the swim portion, the Sun Devil for Life made up time in the bike portion to take sixth overall at an overall time of 02:32:01

The Standard Distance race will be the host of the 2019 Triathlon Canada National Standard Championships. Athletes from across the country will race to be crowned the National Championships. The top three athletes in each age group category will earn a highly sought-after spots to represent Canada at the 2020 ITU Triathlon Grand Finale in Edmonton, Alberta.
