OKLAHOMA CITY - Senior Morgan Howe and junior Kindra Hackbarth added yet another award to their already illustrious trophy case for the 2019 season, earning a place on the NFCA All-America teams announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.

The NFCA Division I All-America softball teams are selected from the pool of players who earned All-Region recognition by Division I head coaches representing the NCAA regions. Howe was tabbed as a first-team honoree, while Hackbarth was tabbed as a second-team member in the announcement made two weeks ago.

Statistically, Howe was a key contributor in one of, if not the best, outfield groups in division one softball this season. The senior posted career highs in batting average (.402), runs scored (56), slugging percentage (.768) and on-base percentage (.500). Her 66 hits this season ranked second on the team, as did her 32 extra-base hits.

Earning a place on the third team, Hackbarth was one of the most accomplished offensive performers in the country this season. Her .412 batting average leads all Pac-12 outfielders, and checks in as third-best overall in the Conference of Champions. She also maintained an incredible .841 slugging percentage this season, a mark that ranks second among all outfielders selected to NFCA All-America teams, while posting highs for All-America outfielders in runs scored (67) and doubles (18).

With their selections today, Howe and Hackbarth represent the third group of ASU outfielders to be named All-Americans in the same season in program history. The two selections also mark the second and third All-American honors earned during head coach Trisha Ford's leadership of the program.
