As part of her duties with the U23 Team, Eva will assist the full national team for the world cup preparations from May 13th through the 21st, before competing with her team in a Tournament in Sweden, May 28 thorough June 1st.
In her first season in Tempe, Eva was electric as a midfield player. The crafty Van Deursen made her first appearance in the maroon and gold on August 31, against the University of New Hampshire. Her first collegiate goal came just a few days later in a Sun Devil win over SEMO, September 2nd.
She would go on to finish her freshman campaign with 1413 minutes played, and two goals and a pair of assists on the year.
Eva will return for the 2019 season as one of a handful of players to have international experience this summer, including fellow sophomore midfielder Alexia Delgado who plans to participate in the Mexican National Team camp during the break.
