KINGSVILLE, Texas – With back-to-back sweeps, Arizona State beach volleyball set a new program record for wins in a season with 17, taking down both Abilene Christian and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday, part of the Kingsville Beach Bash.

The Sun Devils (17-12, 2-4 Pac-12) lost just two sets, both coming against the Javelinas. The new record total of 17 victories surpasses the previous high of 16 that came in 2017. ASU has now won three of the last four matches. Kate Baldwin and Samantha Plaster inched two wins closer to breaking the program's all-time pairs victory record. They now have 40 in their career together, one shy of tying the 41-win mark set by Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette.
