TUCSON, Ariz. – With four new pairs teaming up for the first time this season, Arizona State beach volleyball cruised to a 5-0 win against Washington on Sunday in the Pac-12 South Tournament.
The Sun Devils (3-3, 1-2 Pac-12) finish the tournament with a 1-2 record after picking up a win against the Huskies. This is the second sweep of the season for ASU, the other coming against New Mexico.
Courts three, four and five sparked the sweep with first-set wins after the top two dropped their opening sets. The three would continue their strong play to get sweeps on three, four and five. Ones and twos battled back to force third sets, which they would go on to win.
