FORTH WORTH, Texas – Sun Devil men's tennis took their second doubles point of the weekend and battled to a 3-3 tie late, but ultimately fell to No. 10 TCU, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth.
 
The Sun Devils won the first point straightaway, with Justin Roberts/Makey Rakotomalala taking a 6-4 victory on one followed by a 7-5 victory by No. 56 Tim Ruehl Andrea Bolla on court three.
 
The clinch left No. 18 Nathan Ponwith/Dominik Kellovsky unfinished at 6-all against No. 6 Bertus Kruger/Reese Stalder.
 
Heading into singles play with a 1-0 lead for the second-straight game, ASU sent their normal starting six to the courts to take on the Horned Frogs.
 
It was a back-and-forth affair between the two teams in singles play, with TCU tying the score up at one with a win on court one.
 
Roberts gave the Sun Devils a 2-1 lead with his comeback 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory from the number three spot, his fifth-straight victory. The Bahamian now holds a team-leading seven dual match wins.
 
The Horned Frogs followed with an equalizer on court two and then took their first lead of the match off another win at the four spot, but Makey Rakotomalala gave ASU a point with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win on court six.
 
Down to one match in a 3-3 stalemate, Ruehl faced off against Luc Fomba with the Horned Frog taking the first set, 6-4. Ruehl powered back for a 6-4 second set win to force a split.
 
 The German went down 3-0 about halfway through the match-deciding set, but went on a 2-1 run to make things close at the end. However, TCU took the final set, 6-2, to seal the deal.
 
ASU is back in action this Saturday as they travel down south to take on Arizona. With a Territorial Cup Series point on the line, fans can keep up with the action all season-long by following @SunDevilMTennis on Twitter.
