BOULDER, Colo. – The Sun Devil Lacrosse team split their first road trip of the season, falling to No. 23 Colorado 15-3 at Kittredge Field on Sunday after knocking off Oregon on Friday evening.

Junior Goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau was busy all afternoon, finishing the game with 20 saves, which is a new program record. The previous record was also held by Bonneau, who made 17 saves last March against Colorado. "A bright spot was certainly Berkeley in the cage today," Coach Martinez Connor remarked. "I couldn't be more proud of her efforts."

A combination of schematic adjustments and increased intensity on the defensive end helped the Sun Devils hold the Buffaloes to only three goals in the second half after their 12-goal outburst in the first 30 minutes. A night removed from setting the program record with eight points, Emily Glagolev spent a majority of the game serving as a facilitator. She assisted on two of the three goals for the Sun Devils.

Paige McGlothlin got the Arizona State offense jumpstarted after falling behind 3-0. The freshman continues to impress during her first season in Tempe, scoring her eighth goal of the season with 16:45 left. She has now scored at least one goal in five of seven games this season.

Kerri Clayton cut the Buffaloes lead back to two with her 14th goal of the season with 14:58 left in the first half. Clayton has now scored in six of seven games this season and has at least one goal in 22 of 24 career games while at Arizona State.

The Sun Devils answered another Colorado goal with a goal of their own, this one courtesy of Kate Dougherty. She received an excellent pass from behind the net from Emily Glagolev and knew exactly what to do with it, beating the Colorado goalkeeper to cut the lead to 5-3 with a well-placed shot.

From that point on, it was the Bonneau Show, as the goalkeeper was outstanding serving as the last line of defense. She followed up 12 first-half saves with eight in the second half en route to a record-setting 20-save performance. Bonneau was a big reason why the Buffaloes struggled on free-position attempts (3-for-11), as she made several incredible saves on the eight-meter opportunities. "Ideally the 11 players in front of her play better where she doesn't have to come up with 20 saves," Coach Martinez Connor mentioned. "I was happier with our effort and competitiveness on defense down the stretch in the second half."

Several milestones were reached and records were broken on the road trip. For the first time in program history, the Sun Devils beat a Pac-12 team in regulation, earning a running clock in a dominating win over Oregon. The 18 goals scored represented a season-high for the Sun Devils and is the second highest goal output in a single-game. Three different single-game program records were broken during the two-game road trip. Julia Burns now holds the program record for assists in a game with six. The six assists were the most by anyone in the conference this season. The Sun Devils finished with 14assists as a team, the highest for a Pac-12 team in 2019. Additionally, Emily Glagolev set the program record with eight points in a game. Last but not least, Berkeley Bonneau's 20 saves were the most in a game by a Sun Devil.
