SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Sun Devil women's swimming and diving squad swept the Pac-12 Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors, with junior Cierra Runge named Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week while sophomore Ashley McCool was named Diver of the Week. Youssef Selim also took the Diver of the Week accolade on the men's side to secure three of four Pac-12 weekly honors for the Sun Devils.

The award is the second and third such honor for a Sun Devil diver this season, as graduate student David Hoffer earned the Diver of the Week accolade on Jan. 30. Runge's swimmer of the week is the first for Sun Devil swimming this season.

Selim was honored for his performance against rival Arizona, a meet in which he won first in the one-meter springboard and placed second in the three-meter springboard behind only teammate David Hoffer.

The junior scored an ASU season-high mark of 393.15 in the one-meter board, which was also a career-high for the Egypt-native. Selim came back in the three-meter with a score of 383.78, eight points behind Hoffer in first place. So far this season, Selim has won three one-meter springboard titles while adding one three-meter title. He has also placed either first or second in eight of the 11 dual meet events he has competed in. Selim has been unmatched in one-meter, holding four of the top five marks on the Sun Devils this season.

McCool took first place in the three-meter springboard in Tucson with a score of 344.63, the highest mark by a Sun Devil diver so far this season. The Canadian came back to place second in the one-meter board behind only All-American Delaney Schnell by four points. The three-meter win is McCool's third on the season, while the sophomore also claims 11 top-2 finishes in one-meter and three-meter out of the 12 events she has competed in.

Runge garnered two first place finishes in against Arizona in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. Runge's time of 1:44.04 also set an Arizona State record, beating Tristin Baxter's time of 1:44.35 set in 2012. Runge also swam the third leg of the ASU A relay squad in the 400 freestyle relay, putting up the fastest split of the four-woman squad at 48.70. She now totals four first place finished this year despite only becoming athletically eligible in January.

The Sun Devils are training for later this month with the Pac-12 Championships in their sights. The first round of championships includes women's swimming and both men's and women's diving, taking place from Feb. 27-March 2. The men's swimming championships takes place from March 6-9, with both meets in Federal Way, Wash.
