TEMPE, Ariz. – After posting the lowest score in a one-round competition vs. Georgia and Denver last weekend, the No. 8 Arizona State Women's Golf team prepares to open their spring tournament season at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Feb. 3-5.

The 16-team field will play three rounds, one round (18 holes) per day with tee times beginning at 9 am PT/10 am MT on Sunday and Monday and a shotgun start at 8:30 am PT/9:30 am MT.

Competition is set to take place at the par-71, 6,017-yd. Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. The course, designed in 1924 by Thomas Bell, who designed several other courses in the area, has been called "the hidden gem" of Southern California by Fore Magazine.

Alongside the No. 8 Sun Devils, the field includes several Pac-12 foes, four of the top-5 teams in the nation, and 10 ranked in the top-25 including No. 5 Alabama, No. 9 Arizona, Baylor, Colorado, No. 3 Florida, No. 20 Florida State, Furman, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, No. 13 Stanford, No. 2 Texas, No. 12 UCLA, No. 1 USC, No. 14 Wake Forest, and No. 19 Washington.

ASU has won the team title twice (2006, 2009) and has had an individual medalist four times, including in two of the last three years (Juliana Murcia in 2009, Carlota Ciganda in 2011, Monica Vaughn in 2016, Olivia Mehaffey in 2018).
