TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State softball will open the season as the No. 12 team in the country in both the 2018 ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Preseason Poll, as well as the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll announced Tuesday by the national organizations. The nod at No. 12 marks the highest preseason ranking for the Sun Devils during the Trisha Ford era.

ASU will lift the lid on the 2019 campaign on Feb. 8 when the team hosts the Kajikawa Classic (Feb. 8-10) at Farrington Stadium. Following the opening weekend of play, Arizona State will challenge themselves with 24 games scheduled against teams ranked or receiving votes in the preseason top-25.

ASU is one of four Pac-12 teams to earn a spot in the top-25 with UCLA leading the way at No. 1, followed by No. 2 Washington and No. 6 Arizona. California, Oregon State and Oregon were among teams who received votes, and who look primed to crack the top-25 through the first few weeks of the season.

Fans can purchase season tickets, as well as single-game tickets, for the 2019 season by contacting the Sun Devil ticket office at (480) 965-5812.
