TEMPE, Ariz. – As Arizona State wrestling continues to increase its profile and rise in national rankings, Sun Devil wrestling and head coach Zeke Jones announce that the Sun Devils will face No. 1 Penn State in State College, Pa. on Dec. 14, 2018.

The match will be the first part of a home-and-home series that will bring the Nittany Lions to Tempe in 2019-20.

In 2018, Arizona State earned their first top-10 finish as a team at NCAA's since 2011 as well as boasting their first individual national champion (Zahid Valencia, 174 lbs.) since the same year (Anthony Robles, Bubba Jenkins). Valencia and seven other conference champions (Ryan Millhof, 125; Christian Pagdilao, 149; Josh Maruca, 149; Josh Shields, 157; Anthony Valencia, 165; Kordell Norfleet, 184; Tanner Hall, HWT) return to this year's team.

The Sun Devils have several other top-10 dual matchups on the schedule and plan to release in the next couple of weeks as other ASU sport home schedules are finalized.

"I don't even remember the first time I was in the wrestling room. It just felt like I was born into it."
