TEMPE, Ariz. – After a historic year for eighth-ranked Sun Devil Wrestling, The Open Mat has announced the top-25 average home attendance figures for Division I Wrestling for the 2017-18 season and the Sun Devils are ranked No. 17, averaging 1,411 this season.
Arizona State won four of their five home duals this season, including a 32-6 win over No. 22 Pitt at ASU Gammage and a 25-13 victory vs. No. 14 South Dakota State, both in November.
The Devils then won back-to-back Pac-12 duals vs. Stanford, 24-15 on Jan. 19, and vs. Oregon State, 27-15, on Jan. 20.
This season, the Sun Devils won 10 straight duals, the third-longest streak in program history, four of which were at home.
ASU earned their first top-10 finish since 2011 at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
