FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The No. 8 Sun Devil men recorded more fast swims on day three of the 2018 Pac-12 Men's Swimming Championships, highlighted by Cameron Craig defending his 200 free title from his freshman season.
After Craig and freshman Grant House went 1-2 in the 200 free prelims earlier in the day, both earned spots on the podium with Craig garnering the top spot and House finishing third.
Senior Andrew Porter jumped up four spots between prelim and finals of the 100 fly, ultimately finishing seventh in his final individual event of the day. Porter and Craig alongside Christian Lorenz and Zach Poti finished fourth overall with an A-qualifying time in the final event of the evening, the 400 medley relay.
Lorenz moved up a spot (11th) in the 100 breast finals while Danny Comforti and Aaron Beauchamp set new lifetime bests.
Adding additional PR's was Josh Vedder in the 100 back prelims, Jack Dalmolin in the 100 breast trial, and Sidney Kao in the 400 IM finals.
In Territorial Cup-related standings, ASU (285) remains ahead of Arizona (259) in fourth and fifth place, respectively, with one day remaining of competition.
Competition wraps up on Saturday with another set of morning prelims and evening finals as follows below. Craig will once again be a favorite in the 100 free, also looking to defend that title from a season ago.
