TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil Football program placed 10 student-athletes on the Academic All-Pac-12 teams, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

For the third consecutive season, running back Nick Ralston earned First Team All-Academic honors. The redshirt junior graduated a year earlier with a perfect 4.00 GPA and has begun his postgraduate education working toward an MBA in Finance where he also has a 4.00 GPA.

Ralston joined Oregon offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton as the only other player on the Pac-12 All-Academic Team to have earned the honor three times prior to their senior seasons. Overall, Ralston was one of six players on this year's team to earn the First Team distinction three times. Ralston was earned the Pat Tillman Academic Achievement Award at the Sun Devil Football Awards Banquet on Sunday evening.

Wide receiver Kyle Williams earned a Second Team nod in the announcement – the second time he has earned All-Academic honors after earning an honorable mention last season. Williams, a junior, has posted a 3.50 GPA in Biomedical Engineering and has made the news over the past months for his volunteer work for the Mayo Clinic last summer and into the current football season.

The Sun Devils claimed eight honorable mention nods as Eno Benjamin, Cody French, Jordan Hoyt, Malik Lawal, Josh Pokraka, Riley John, Brandon Ruiz and Michael Sleep-Dalton all earned the honor. For Lawal and Sleep-Dalton, it was the second time in their careers being recognized by the Pac-12.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50-percent of their team's games.
