MARRAKESH, Morocco – At the Lalla Aicha Tour School at Morocco's Amelkis Golf Club, former Sun Devils Linnea Strom (Sweden) and Emilie Alonso (France) earned their Ladies European Tour (LET) cards for 2019.
Strom finished second overall in the five-round tournament, 25-under par and just one stroke back from the win, while Alonso finished in a tie for 14th (7-under). Strom also recently earned her full LPGA tour card for 2019 in October, finishing in the Volvik Race top-10, after playing on the Symetra Tour for the past year.
Alonso graduated from Arizona State in 2015 while Strom turned professional following the fall 2017 season. Alonso was a three-time National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar (2013-15) as well as a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic honoree (2013-15).
Strom was a two-time All-American (2016, 2017), two-time Pac-12 All-Conference honoree (2016, 2017), 2017 Pac-12 All-Academic honoree, part of the 2017 NCAA Championship team and won a Pac-12 individual title in 2016.
