Las Vegas, Nev. – Arizona State Lacrosse Head Coach Courtney Martinez Connor will be a guest speaker at the U.S. Lacrosse West Regional Conference held in Las Vegas from 11/30-12/2.

United States Lacrosse's mission is to provide national leadership, structure and resources to fuel the sport's growth and enrich the experience of participants. The organization holds conferences throughout the year in different regions all over the country, but is visiting the Entertainment Capital of the World for the first time.

"This will be the first event in Las Vegas and I'm proud to be one of the speakers" Coach Martinez Connor expressed.

The event serves as a professional development opportunity for coaches, officials, program administrators, and other leaders in the sport of lacrosse. Coach Martinez Connor will add another appearance at a convention to her growing history of speaking engagements when she presents to crowd of over a thousand members of the lacrosse community on Friday.

"I have been speaking at local and national events & conventions held by U.S. Lacrosse since 2002," Coach Martinez Connor mentioned. "Each time has been unique and engaging with the lacrosse community."

There will be three different program tracks offered for coaches, officials and leaders. Session topics will include team and athlete development, rules interpretation, game management and organizational leadership.

"It's always an honor to speak at a U.S. Lacrosse event and to help spread knowledge about our wonderful sport" Coach Martinez Connor stated.

Before becoming the first-ever Head Coach of Arizona State Lacrosse, Martinez Connor had built up an already impressive résumé. She enjoyed a successful career as a lacrosse analyst for ESPN and Big Ten Network, continuing to establish herself as one of the most influential voices in the sport.  As a player, Martinez Connor left her mark with those who follow lacrosse in the late 1990's, as she was a part of five National Championships (1997-2001) at the University of Maryland.

The Sun Devils won six games during the program's first season with Martinez Connor at the helm, one more victory than the other three first-year Division I programs had combined. Arizona State's recruiting footprint continues to extend nationally, as the 2019 roster boasts student-athletes from 14 different states as well as Canada. Coach Martinez Connor will be speaking on Friday, the first day of the four-day convention.
