GREENWOOD, Ind. – Representing Arizona State volleyball, junior Halle Johnson was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team as announced on Thursday.
Johnson, a communication major, is the lone representative selected by CoSIDA. She is one of eight Pac-12 players in district 8 and one of five Pac-12 players on the first team. As a first team recipient, Johnson is eligible for Academic All-America, which will be announced in December. This is Johnson's first academic all-district honor.
The junior defensive specialist has played in every match this season. She earned a career-high 19 digs and three aces against Murray State on Sept. 9 of this year. She is fifth on the team in total digs with 144.
