TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State sophomore running back Eno Benjamin was recognized for his performance in ASU's win at USC on Saturday in being named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list for week nine.

Benjamin, who hails from Wylie, Texas, ran for 185 yards and two touchdowns in ASU's 38-35 triumph over USC, ending the Trojans' 19-game home winning streak. Benjamin had five rushes of 11 or more yards, including a 49-yard touchdown run. Benjamin's 185 yards were the second-most by a Sun Devil running back against the Trojans ever behind only J.R. Redmond's 214 yards in 1998 and the 20th-most allowed by USC in history and the 11th-most since 2000.

Benjamin has now run for 100+ yards five times in 2018. Earlier this season Benjamin earned Pac-12 Player of the Week, Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week after he set the single-game school rushing record with 312 yards in ASU's win over Oregon State (Sept. 29). He is currently sixth in the NCAA with 938 yards rushing and eighth in touchdowns with 11.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, announced in 2012 by the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler, recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity; specifically tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.

In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year D1 Texas college.

The Sun Devils (4-4, 2-3 Pac-12) return to action on Saturday (1 p.m. MST) when they host No. 16 Utah (6-2, 4-2) at Sun Devil Stadium. The contest will be ASU's annual Homecoming game. To purchase tickets, call the Sun Devil Ticket office at 480-727-0000 or go online to TicketMaster.com.
