TEMPE, Ariz. – After helping lead Sun Devil women's golf to their nation-leading eighth NCAA championship in 2017 and turning professional following the fall 2017 season, Linnea Strom has earned her full LPGA tour card for 2019. Strom joins a long list of former Sun Devils to play on the LPGA tour including Azahara Munoz, Anna Nordqvist, Heather Farr, and Wendy Ward, among others (listed below).

Strom has been playing on the Symetra Tour for the last year and by virtue of finishing in the Volvik Race Top-10, has earned her LPGA card. The Volvik Race, in its 17th year in the 34-year history of the Symetra Tour, enables players to earn automatic exemptions onto the LPGA tour. Over the past year playing professionally, Strom has recorded eight top-15 performances and one win at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge in September.
Upon turning professional in winter 2017, Strom was the No. 9 golfer in the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and earned 20 top-10 finishes at ASU, also winning the Pac-12 Championship as a freshman. She sealed the victory for the Sun Devils in both the NCAA semifinals vs. Stanford and the national championship match vs. Northwestern in May 2017.
