TEMPE, Ariz. – After a second-place finish at a rain-soaked season-opening tournament in Franklin, Tenn. last weekend, No. 9/10 Sun Devil women's golf heads to Northwestern's Windy City Collegiate Championship Oct. 1-2.

The 11th Annual Windy City Collegiate Classic will be held at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill., also host the 2014 and 2015 versions of the tournament. The teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

ASU will be joined in the 14-team field by Arizona, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Iowa State, Michigan, host-Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, San Diego State, South Carolina, and USC.

Including the Sun Devils, five are ranked in the top-25 by Golfweek (also: #4 Florida, #5 USC, #8 Duke, and #24 South Carolina) and nine total by Golfstat rankings (also: #4 Duke, #6 USC, #9 Arizona, #11 Northwestern, #12 South Carolina, #14 Florida, #19 Oklahoma State, and #22 Colorado).
