TEMPE – The Sun Devil track and field program is set to host open tryouts Sept. 12 at Sun Angel Stadium, director of track and field Greg Kraft announced Wednesday.
Intent to Tryout
If you have the intent to try out you must contact Priscilla Schultz; Director of Operations at Priscilla.schultz@asu.edu, email PRs on the track, name of high school, ASU student ID number and ASU email address. The necessary medical paperwork must be turned into Toshi Hirano on the lower level of CSAC by the given date below. The tryout will take place Sept. 12 at 4 p.m.*
Tryout Eligibility
Prior to tryouts, each potential student-athlete must be admitted into Arizona State University as a full-time, degree seeking student, and have all necessary paperwork completed. You must have all necessary paperwork/copies completed and turned in by 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 6th, 2018.
The Paperwork
One copy of a valid health insurance card (front and back); one copy of completed physical; one copy from Sickle Cell test results. The Track & Field/Cross Country Office is located on the third floor of the Carson Student-Athlete Center (south end of Sun Devil Stadium), room 307.
Physicals may be completed anywhere. The most convenient location for current students will be the Student Health Center on campus. The Sickle Cell Test can also be completed at the SHC. It is advised that candidates have both tests completed early, as it may take a couple days for complete test results. Students with incomplete physicals or test results will not be permitted to tryout.
Notification of Team Selections:
A list of potential student-athletes that will be invited back for an extended tryout will be posted on the Sun Devil Track & Field/Cross Country Office door.
