Three-time Pac-10 champion Paul Casey is one of six Sun Devils competing in the 2018 British Open.

The @SunDevilMGolf program has. a few clubs in the bag this this week and hopefully this weekend.

Six former Sun Devils are competing in the British Open this weekend. That is good right? Well, actually that is the best for the third straight major.

Arizona State has six current/former players in the field at The Open, more than any other school (leading the way for the third consecutive major).

Georgia and Texas are the only other schools with at least four such players in each major this season. pic.twitter.com/Bz8j0DUyL6

Want some news from a future Sun Devil? Well, Cameron Sisk is future just because he hasn't attended a class yet, but he will be a freshman when classes start in August. In the meantime, he is playing super well.

Time to start paying attention we got a Sun Devil in the hunt! Soon-to-be freshman (might be a freshman already and taking classes online) Cameron Sisk wins round of 64 match 3&2. Wins holes 1, 9, 10 and 14. Next up 10 am match Thursday! https://t.co/vBrlYZbjas

At the U.S. Junior Amateur so far at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., Sisk advanced to match play by shooting a 3-under 138 (68-70) early in the week. Wednesday in match play the El Cajon, CA, native topped Jackson Chandler of Dublin, OH, 3 and 2. He will meet England's Robin Williams at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m AZT in the round of 32. Tiger Woods and Jordan Speith are just two of the names that have won the event, while Sun Devils Shane McMenamy (1996) and Philip Francis (2006) also won the event. Oh and some other Cameron news, he once shot a 59...

Want to be impressed by our freshman Cameron Sisk as he competes in the US Junior Amateur? Would a 59 impress you? https://t.co/yf6FegCdMV

In Kentucky, two current Sun Devils had solid opening rounds at the 112th Southern Amateur Championship of the Southern Golf Association hosted by The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green (7313 yards, par 36-36—72, 75.8/139). Both Blake Wagoner and Koichiro Ishika shot 3-under and are tied for 14th. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday from both the first and tenth tees and the field will be cut to the low 66 scores and ties after 36 holes.
