MAGOG, Québec, Canada – Four members of the two-time national champion Arizona State women's triathlon team competed over the weekend at the 2018 Magog CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup, with two finishing in the top-10 and three finishing in the top-11 in the Elite Women's race.
Hannah Henry and Kyla Roy, competing for their home country of Canada, finished fifth and eighth overall, respectively, while Katie Gorczyca (USA) finished just outside the top-10 in 11th place. Rebecca Naughton also competed for the United States, finishing 34th.
Roy had the third-fastest swim among finishers while Gorczyca's was the seventh-fastest bike. Henry and Roy also clocked the sixth and eighth fastest runs in the field.
Last month, Henry won a bronze medal in the Junior Elite race at the 2018 Brasilia CAMTRI Triathlon American Championships in Brasilia, Brazil. Incoming freshmen Audrey Ernst and Kira Stanley, both competing for the USA, finished fourth and eighth in the same race. Gorczyca also finished fifth in the U23 women's race.
