Every July the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) updates its lists of who has the most Academic All-Americans in various forms.
A constant among the ranks is Arizona State, as it ranks among the best in the nation and in the Pac-12 both all-time and in this century. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division.
Dating back to 1962, the Sun Devils have produced 120 Academic All-Americans, 18th-most in all of Division I and behind only Stanford (223) and UCLA (126) in the Pac-12. Soccer senior Madison Stark earned third-team honors, while golfer Roberta Liti added to her academic trophy case as she was named a 2018 Google Cloud Second-Team Academic All-American®.

Senior Madison Stark became the ninth Sun Devil soccer player to earn Academic All-America Honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), with her third-team honor. A Claremont, Calif., native who earned her BA in Journalism and Mass Communication/Leadership, Ethics, and Service, she was a fixture in the Sun Devil defense. She played in 77 matches, including 76 starts. A two-time captain, Stark was a force, firing an impressive 53-career shots, including 17 on goal through her four years.
Since 2010, ASU has had 33 student-athletes earn Academic All-America honors, including soccer players Jasmine Roth (second team) and Kaitlyn Pavlovich (third team) who were the last two members to earn the honors following the 2013 season, with Kyleyn Felts (2006-07) representing the last first-team honoree from Sun Devil soccer.
Golfer Roberta Liti added to her academic trophy case as she was named a 2018 Google Cloud Second-Team Academic All-American®. With a 4.0 cumulative GPA as a double major in Business and Management. Liti is the highest women's finisher for the award since softball's Amber Freeman earned first-team accolades in 2014-15. Liti is the 18th Sun Devil, ninth ASU women's golfer and first since 2009-10, to earn a women's at-large honor.
She also received the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 Award for women's golf, awarded to the participant with the highest GPA at each of the NCAA's 90 championships throughout the year, at the 2018 NCAA Championships. Prior to NCAA's, she was named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's golf.
Women's golf is one of several sports under the At-Large category for the award, including beach volleyball, women's bowling, women's rowing, men's and women's fencing, men's golf, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rifle, men's and women's skiing, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball, men's and women's water polo, and men's wrestling.
