TEMPE — Second-year head coach Sanja Tomasevic and the Arizona State volleyball program announced the team's 2018 conference slate on Monday, which features 13 matches to be televised via Pac-12 Networks.

The Sun Devils will officially kickoff their 2018 league slate on Thursday, Sep. 20 in Tucson, with the Maroon and Gold slated to take on in-state rival Arizona in the 2018-19 Territorial Cup Series ® opener. The match will represent Arizona State's Pac-12 Network debut for the season. On Sunday, Sep. 23, the Sun Devils will remain on the road, set to travel to the Bay Area for a meeting with California. The outing will be televised on Pac-12 Arizona.
Making the road their home, the Sun Devils will then go wheels up for a second consecutive week, trekking to the Pacific Northwest for matches with Oregon State (Sep. 28) and Oregon (Sep. 30). The Sun Devils' meeting with Oregon State will be televised via Pac-12 Networks.
Following a two-week road swing, the Sun Devils will return to Tempe for a pair of Pac-12 home opening matches featuring Washington State on Fri., Oct. 5 and Washington on Sun., Oct. 7, respectively. Arizona State's outing with the visiting Cougars will be broadcast on Pac-12 Arizona.
The Maroon and Gold will then have a quick turnaround traveling to Los Angeles for matches with UCLA (Oct. 10) and Southern California (Oct. 12). Both matches will air via Pac-12 Networks.
Arizona State will then once again return to the friendly confines of Wells Fargo Arena, this time for an extended stay. The squad will open a four-match home stretch on Friday, Oct. 19 with a matchup with Utah followed by a Sunday, Oct. 21 contest against Colorado. The next weekend, Arizona State will play host to Oregon (Oct. 26) and Oregon State (Oct. 28) to cap the home stay. Each match will be televised courtesy of the Networks.
The Sun Devils will then once again take to the skies, making the trip to Washington on Nov. 2 and Washington State on Nov. 4. Arizona State's outing in the Palouse will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
Tomasevic's squad will cap its road slate the following weekend, traveling first to Colorado on Nov. 9, before heading to Utah on Nov. 11.
The Sun Devils will then close the regular season, hosting the LA schools, Stanford and Arizona, in consecutive weeks.

The event features an impressive field including defending WAC regular season champion New Mexico State, NIVC-participant Pacific and UT Arlington who the Sun Devils earned a 3-0 sweep over at the 2017 Maverick Classic. On Friday, Aug. 24 the Sun Devils will officially ring in the season with a pair of matches against UT Arlington and New Mexico State, to be played at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. The Sun Devils will then cap the home stand with a meeting with Pacific the following evening, tentatively scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
Arizona State will then hit the road for two consecutive weeks, beginning with its first ever trek to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Clásico, Sep. 1-2. The Sun Devils will compete in a trio of matches in the outing, the first of which pits them against Towson on Sep. 1. The Tigers concluded the 2017 season with a 27-6 record to their credit, earning a berth in the NIBC. The following afternoon the Maroon and Gold continue play in the tournament with matchups against Xavier and Missouri. Missouri is coming off a successful 2017 campaign, that saw the Tigers finish third in the SEC with a 13-5 season mark and earn a second-consecutive berth to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.

Wyoming capped the 2017 season with a 17-14 record to its credit, garnering a selection to the 2017 NIVC. Arizona State will cap their stay in Wyoming with a morning tilt against Binghamton on Sat., Sep. 8. The Bearcats fell match short of reaching the NCAA tournament falling to Stony Brook in the American East Conference championship.
The Sun Devils will close their 2018 nonconference slate, hosting their second tournament of the season, the Sparky Classic, scheduled to take place Sep. 14-15. Constituting a rematch of Arizona State's 3-1 victory over NAU at this past season's Lumberjack Classic, Arizona State leads the programs' all-time series 41-5. Arizona State's tournament cap will come on Sunday, Sep. 15 with the Maroon and Gold slated to take on Texas State. The Bobcats are coming off an impressive 25-10 effort in 2017 featuring a 14-2 conference record. Texas State fell just a match short to reaching the NCAA tournament, falling in the Sun Belt Championship match.
