TEMPE, Ariz. -
The Arizona State lacrosse team (6-11, 1-9 Pac-12) fell to the No. 21 USC Trojans (9-7, 6-4), 19-2, in the final game of the regular season Saturday afternoon at Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.

"It was our first, last home game and I thought that we started out strong," said head coach Courtney Martinez Connor. "We came out ready but the experience of No. 21 USC came out and it was a hard loss. I think our girls definitely showed fight and improvement. We're excited for the upcoming inaugural Pac-12 Tournament."

Junior co-captain Kerri Clayton provided both goals for the Sun Devils, one in each half of the contest.

The Sun Devil offense was rounded out by freshman attacker Kate Dougherty, who recorded the assist on Clayton's first half goal.

In the cage, sophomore goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau made 10 saves before handing it off to freshman Sophia Thomas early in the second half. Thomas recorded three saves of her own.

The Sun Devils picked up 11 ground balls as a team, led by Bonneau with two.

The Trojan offense was led by freshman midfielder Kelsey Huff and sophomore midfielder Kerrigan Miller, each of whom netted three goals with two assists on the day.

Up next the Sun Devils head to Colorado for the inaugural Pac-12 women's lacrosse tournament. They face off against the Trojans once again in the first round Thursday, April 26 at 3 p.m. PT. The entire tournament will be broadcasted live on the Pac-12 Network.
