PALO ALTO – Gage Canning had a two-RBI double in Sun Devil Baseball's 10-3 loss at No. 2 Stanford in Sunday's series finale at the Sunken Diamond.

Canning reached base for the 35th of ASU's 36 games to date with the double in the top of the second to get ASU on the board first with a 2-0 lead. He has a hit in 32 of those games and is now at 12 doubles on the season, a total tied for third in the Pac-12.

Canning's double was the only highlight for ASU on either side of the ball as Stanford would go on the roll off 10 consecutive runs before Spencer Torkelson tacked on his team-leading 35th RBI of the season with an RBI groundout in the eighth inning.

Drew Swift notched the first extra base hit of his career to set the play up, a double off the wall in left to lead off the frame.

The Sun Devils had three errors in the game and didn't give starter Eli Lingos much help behind him, despite the senior matching his career high with eight strikeouts in 6.0 innings pitched.

ASU returns home this weekend for a three-game Pac-12 series against Utah at Phoenix Municipal Stadium beginning Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. PT.
