TEMPE, Ariz. -
The Arizona State lacrosse team (5-5, 0-3 Pac-12) fell to the Liberty Flames (6-2)  in their final non-conference game of the season, 15-5, Tuesday evening at Sun Devil Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium.

"It was definitely another tough game tonight," said head coach Courtney Martinez Connor. "It was our third game in five days and I think the fatigue in the girls was certainly showing. But we're excited to refocus and get ready for our next set of Pac-12 games."

Junior co-captain Kerri Clayton led the Sun Devils on offense with two goals in the first half. Clayton now has 32 goals on the season, enough for eighth in the country in goals scored through the first half of the season. Freshman attacker Kate Dougherty and midfielders Maddy Hunter and Emily Glagolev each scored a goal of their own, bringing the Sun Devil total to five.

On the defensive end, goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau led the effort with 14 saves, her second-most saves in a single game. Bonneau and Hunter led the Sun Devils in ground balls with three each. The Sun Devil defense also caused eight Liberty turnovers.

For the Flames, junior midfielder Brianna McCaffrey led all scorers with six goals.

Up next, the Sun Devils have another quick turnaround as they head to the Bay Area for match-ups against No. 19 Stanford on Friday, March 23 at 7 p.m. and at Cal on Sunday, March 25 at noon. Both games will be broadcasted on the schools' respective Pac-12+ livestreams.
