SAN FRANCISCO – After the conclusion of the 2017-18 women's swimming and diving season at last weekend's NCAA championships, the Pac-12 has announced the 2018 All-Academic teams.
 
With 12 honorees between the first and second teams and honorable mention, the Sun Devils have three more honorees than a season ago, including spots on the First Team.
 
Sophomores Emily Glinecke and Bentley Hulshof as well as senior Ivana Ninkovic were named to the First Team while sophomores Kendall Dawson and Silja Kansakoski and junior Kaya Philapil were named to the Second Team.
 
Redshirt freshman Kaylee Gassen, sophomores Claire Fisch, Chloe Isleta, and Katherine Wagner, junior Marlies Ross, and senior Mara Aiacoboae earned Honorable Mention accolades.
 
Silja Kansakoski added two more All-American honors to her already illustrious trophy case while Mara Aiacoboae earned HM All-American status in the platform dive at her final NCAA's.  

At NCAA's, the Sun Devil women moved up six spots in team standings from last season, showing the upward improvement of the program.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and participate in at least half the team's contests.
