FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – On day two of the 2018 Pac-12 Men's Swimming Championships, several Sun Devils recorded personal bests and improved upon prelim times in the evening's finals.
Importantly, the Sun Devils also remain ahead of Arizona, 185-127, which is an important lead to maintain as the leader between the two will capture a Territorial Cup Series® point on Saturday evening.
Ben Olszewski had the top finish for ASU in the 500 free prelim (9th) while Sidney Kao earned a personal best (4:28.58). All three scorers in the evening's finals improved on their prelim times, led by Olszewski (10th), Grant House (11th), and Dylan Boyd (13th).
In the 200 IM prelims, Jack Dalmolin set a new personal record and re-set it later in the evening.
Cameron Craig improved upon his 50 free prelim time in the finals with a 10th place finish in both races while Andrew Porter won the C final in the same event. In the time trial of the event, Mihalis Deliyiannis set back-to-back personal records in the prelims and finals.
The Sun Devils closed the night with a fifth-place finish in the 200 free relay, just off the automatic qualifying time for NCAA's.
