The @SunDevilMGolf team finished second at the two-day National Invitational held at the OMNI Tucson National (par 72/7,200 Yards) as it closed with a 4-under 284 in the final round.
Sophomore Chun An Yu tied for second at 14-under 202 (63-70-69), while freshman Koichiro Ishika tied for seventh with an 11-under 205 (67-67-69) that was easily his best performance of the year.
UNLV won the event with a 50-under 814 (278-266-270) followed by ASU at 38-under 826 (267-274-284) and host Arizona at 34-under 830 (279-274-277).

LAST YEAR AT NIT: Arizona State also had a good showing last year in NIT, with the team finishing second with a 27-under 837. They were led by then-freshman Chun An Yu, who was playing in just his third collegiate event and shot a final round 64, which led him to the title. With that win he joined the likes of Jon Rahm and Paul Casey as freshman who have earned top honors in events since 1995. Also, Yu shot two of his best five last year out in Tucson.
