TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State men's swim/dive team, who cracked the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) top-10 near the end of 2017, open the new year playing host to the Ivy League's Harvard University on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 11 am MT.
The meet at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center is free to the public.
The Sun Devil women are receiving votes in early December's CSCAA poll. A new poll will be released Jan. 17.

LAST TIME OUT
At the Texas Invitational, ASU men's swimming achieved two A cuts (400 medley relay, 800 free relay) and over 30 individual and relay B cuts.
Christian Lorenz's 200 breast set a new ASU record and marked the then-fastest time in the NCAA this year. For the efforts, Lorenz became the fifth Sun Devil to win Pac-12 Men's Swimmer of the Month with three first-place finishes and three second-place finishes in November.
Youssef Selim won all three events at the NAU Diving Invitational in November while Heikki Makikallio finished second in the two springboard events and third in platform. Selim improved on his season-highs in all three events.
THE OPPONENT
The Crimson defeated three Ivy League opponents to start the season by impressive margins – Dartmouth, Cornell, and Columbia – before joining ASU at the Texas Invitational in late November/early December. The Harvard men's divers competed at the Georgia Invitational the same weekend.
Brennan Novak breaking the school record in the 500 free was one of the highlights in Texas for the Crimson. Diver Bobby Ross' finished second in the 1-meter in Georgia.
NEXT UP
Next weekend, the ASU women head north to Washington State on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 12 noon MT.
Before returning home, the Sun Devil men and women will have two of their toughest tests of the season on back-to-back days at No. 1/3 Cal on Jan. 19 and No. 5/2 Stanford on Jan. 20.
