"Tonight's result was certainly disappointing," noted interim head coach Carlos Moreno. "Credit to UCLA, as they are a talented and well coached team. We knew entering the Pac-12 season we would be faced with an incredibly challenging slate of volleyball. We have been and will continue to be tested. We plan on taking the challenge head on, and will continue to hold our heads high and push forward. This coming week we will review the film, making the needed adjustments and prepare for pair of talented Oregon squads."
Senior libero Halle Harker recorded 22 digs on the outing, bringing her career total to 1,900, which makes her just the third Sun Devil in program history to reach the 1,900 mark.
