Breaking the Ice: Q&A w/ Freshman Dominic GarciaBreaking the Ice: Q&A w/ Freshman Dominic Garcia
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Prior to the 2017-18 season, we sat down with each of our nine new faces joining the Sun Devil Hockey program for a quick Q&A.

Leadership is the name of the game for freshman forward Dominic Garcia, who's parents were both members of the Air Force. A recognized and awarded captain in the NAHL, Garcia brings more than just physical skills to the squad. True to his team before self-mentality, Garcia looks forward to contributing to the foundation and culture of Sun Devil Hockey.

In 2016-17, Garcia wore the 'C' for the Aston Rebels (NAHL) and netted 14 goals and 33 assists in 56 games. Before committing to ASU as the 49th-ranked NCAA prospect in his class, the NAHL awarded Garcia with the league's East Division Leadership Award. Prior to that, the Rebels named Garcia the Most Improved Player and Hardest Working Player in 2015-16, tallying 14 goals in his debut season.
