COLLEGE STATION, Texas/FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The No. 24 Arizona State women's swim team continued dominant performances on day two of the Art Adamson Invitational while Sun Devil diving kicked off the NAU Lumberjack Invitational on a high note.
After touching first in the 100 breast prelims and taking a top seed into the evening's finals, Silja Kansakoski won the event (58.96), just shy of the NCAA A standard.
Marlies Ross joined teammate Chloe Isleta, who completed the feat on Thursday, in topping her own school record, smashing her own 400 IM school record (4:07.65) with a win in the consolation final.
In the 100 back, Isleta touched second and Camryn Curry seventh in a close B final.
In the final event of the evening, the 800 free relay, the Sun Devils earned a runner-up finish in 7:12.40.
At the NAU Lumberjack Diving Invitational, the Sun Devils went 1-2 in the 3-meter dive, with Youssef Selim finishing first followed closely behind by Heikki Makikallio.
On the women's side, Frida Kaellgren finished second in the 1-meter dive on day one of the diving invitational.
