The @SunDevilMTennis team will have three players competing November 1-5 at the 2017 Oracle ITA National Fall Championship held at Indian Wells Tennis Garden near Palm Springs, Calif. The event marks the conclusion of the fall collegiate tennis season and includes 128 of the nation's top collegiate singles players (64 men and 64 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men's teams and 32 women's teams).

Benjamin Hannestad earned the trip as the Southwest Regional champion and is seeded 13th in singles based on his ITA/UTR Ranking Average, while Southwest Regional champions Benjamin Hannestad/Tim Ruehl qualified as a doubles team. In addition, Michael Geerts is an At-Large selection for singles and is seeded 11th, which is the third-best Pac-12 seed.

Hannestad (8-2 in the fall) will meet Tim Sandkaulen of Ole Miss at 11 a.m. in singles action, while Michael Geerts

Ruehl and Hannestad, 5-0 in fall events, will meet the third-seeded Florida State squad of Jose Gracia and Lucas Poullain at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Geerts (10-3) will meet Jackie Tang of Columbia at 12:45 p.m.

The Oracle ITA National Fall Championships for men will feature a 64-player singles draw, while doubles consist of a 32-team draw. Matches will take place at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa and the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Players qualified for the tournament through designated placings at earlier ITA National Championships and the ITA Regional Championships Presented by Oracle.

MORE THAN ONE IN SINGLES: ASU is one of 15 schools and one of three Pac-12 schools to have at least two players in contention for the 64-player singles title. Georgia has four while Baylor, Florida State, Mississippi State and Ohio State have three players. Also having a pair are California, Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Tulane, UCLA, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
