TEMPE, Ariz. – Following Arizona State triathlon's final competition before November's national championships in Tempe, the All-Region honors have been announced from last Saturday's East Regional Qualifier in Sarasota, Fla.
Kyla Roy, the third-place finisher, was named All-Region Freshman for Division I as the top freshman DI varsity finisher while Roy was joined on the All-Region Team by teammates Sarah Quintero and Rebecca Naughton.
Roy was also named to the Central All-Region team in early September after finishing third in Naperville, Ill. in her first collegiate race.
Quintero and Naughton finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in Sarasota to lead the Sun Devils to the East Regional team title.
The Sun Devils now focus on Sunday, Nov. 5 as ASU hosts the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship at and around Tempe Town Lake. The Sun Devils look to repeat their national title from 2016.
