Hailing from Brumath, France, Anne Kuhm joins the Gym Devil program with international competition experience. Kuhm, a transfer from the University of Paris-Dauphine, comes to ASU with two years of eligibility and a plethora of notable accomplishments already to her credit. A member of the French national team since 2009, she competed in the 2012 London Olympics for Team France, who finished in 11th place. She was selected as a reserve for the all-around final in the outing. Kuhm also participated in the 2012 & 2016 Olympic Test Event, helping France qualify a full team to the Olympics on both occasions. Most recently Kuhm was selected as an alternate for France in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She also earned further international experience competing for France at the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow. Kuhm, a two-time French national all-around champion (2011 and 2012), figures to make an immediate impact for the Gym Devils in 2018...

What drew you to Arizona State?
ASU is recognized as a very good university throughout the world. The girls and coaches were very welcoming during my visit. On the other hand, the sports facilities and campus are amazing.

If you could have dinner with anyone from any era, who would it be and why?
I would like to have dinner with Michael Phelps because he had an amazing career as a swimmer and I think he would have a lot of great advice. 
 
If you had the chance to pick the brain of any coach in any sport, who would it be?
Bob Bowman because he was the coach of lot of successful champions.
 
If you had the chance to watch one past sporting event, which one would you go to? 
I would like to watch the competition of Nadia Comaneci during the Olympic Games in Montreal 1976.
 
What is your hometown and what do you like best about it?
I live in Brumath, France. I like my hometown because it is a small city and my enitre family lives there. 
 
What is the last book you read?
The last book I read was "Central Park" by Musso.
 
What's your favorite song from your favorite artist? 
I have no preference in music. I like everything.

My best childhood memory is when I was playing with my cousins in my grandmother's backyard after school.

I like to watch "Dancing with the Stars" because I find the choreography to be beautiful.

My favorite road trip destination is the United States.
 
What is one place you really want to visit? 
I would like to go to Hawaii.

What is your favorite gymnastics related memory?
The European Youth Olympic Games in Trabzon, Turkey, in 2011.

What is the hardest thing about competing as gymnast? 
The biggest thing is to know how to compete well with pressure.
 
Do you have any personal goals for this upcoming season?
My goal is to make my routines as good as possible to bring a lot of points for the team. I do not have any individual goals, but I want to do my best be qualified for the nationals with the team.
