TEMPE – Senior Kelley Anderson was the sole Sun Devil women's tennis representative on the ITA's preseason singles ranking, slotting in at No. 67 on the list released Tuesday.
Anderson is one of 125 women on the list that will be the only ITA release for the fall season.
Her top-100 place is a career high for Anderson, and last season she ended the season at No. 115 just ahead of teammate Sammi Hampton.
Last season, Anderson finished her junior campaign with a 24-9 record, thanks in part to an 11-match win streak, during which she knocked off three women ranked in the top-125, including then No. 17 Mayar Sharif Ahmed of Pepperdine.
She finished the season 3-1 with one match unfinished against ranked opponents.
As a duo, Anderson and Savannah Slaysman took the tennis world by storm out of the gate, starting the season 9-0 with their most impressive win coming against No. 22 Kimmy Guerin/Anna Ulyaschenko of Wake Forest only four matches into the season.
Anderson and the rest of the Sun Devil women's tennis team gets started this weekend in Lubbock, Texas, with an ITF individual tournament.
The Sun Devils' spring non-conference and fall schedules are available online and show seven home contests. The conference schedule will be released at a later date.
