#CampFargo permits now available at the old main fountain until 4:15 pm. Or WFA West Entrance at 5:00 pm on Friday.

In an effort to maximize the positives of Camp Fargo and reduce cutting in line, the following system will be used for Camp Fargo in 2017:

Obtaining a Camping Site

  • At 4 pm two days prior to a home football game a Tempe campus location to pick-up a camping permit is announced via the @TheSunDevils twitter account and www.thesundevils.com/campfargo.
  • Students arriving at the selected location will receive a camping permit with a number based on when they arrived at the selected campus location. When receiving a permit, students must specify how many campers will be in their group (up to 6).
    • There is a limit of 300 students for Camp Fargo. Please make sure you are accurate in stating the number in your group. If you declare more than you need, you may be taking away the opportunity to camp from other students.
  •            Students must have already secured a ticket from the mobile ticketing system to participate in Camp Fargo.
  • Students have from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm that night to redeem their camping permit for the corresponding camping spot at Camp Fargo (Wells Fargo Arena – West Entrance).
  • A completed camp check card is needed to gain access to student ticketing when it opens. It is expected that the majority of your group spends the night at the campsite. (There will be no camp checks from 8 am – 5 pm each day so students may go to class.)
    • For group size 4-6, 2 students must be at the camp site for each camp check.
    • For group size 1-3, 1 student must be at the camp site for each camp check.
  • Anyone without a completed camp check card will not receive their ticket for the game
Camp Procedures and Camp Site Checks
  • No more than 6 students per site.  Multiple sites are needed for bigger groups.
  • For group size 4-6, 2 students must be at the camp site for each camp check. For group size 1-3, 1 student must be at the camp site for each camp check. It is expected that the majority of your group spends the night at the campsite.
  • At each camp check the camp card will be stamped if at least the required number of students are at the site.
  • If students miss a camp check they must contact camp security about the reason for missing the check; students may be removed from the line for missing a camp check.
  • One completed camp card with all camp check stamps allows the specific number of students (declared at time of receiving permit) to get seat cards for the first 5 rows of the South Inferno.

Camp Site Check Times

·       Camp site checks will occur at least 5 times during each Camp Fargo.  At least two students (for group size 4-6) or one student (for group size 1-3) must be at the camp site to receive the camp card stamp. Camp site check times vary with each game and exact times are not announced. It is expected that the majority of your group spends the night at the campsite. There will be no camp checks on any day from 8 am – 5 pm so that students may go to class. Any information related to camp site checks will be given out at Camp Fargo.

Frequently Asked Questions – Camp Fargo

A. Camping is not permitted until the permits are distributed.

Q. Will the campus location for permit distribution be the same for each football game?

A.  The on-campus location will change each game.

Q. I can't make it to camping permit distribution, but I still want to camp.  What do I do?

A.  You can go to Wells Fargo Arena to see if any spots remain up until 9 pm the first night of camping.  Your camping spot will be at the end of the line when you arrive if spots remain.

A.  Periodic camp checks will be done each day to make sure students are occupying their camp sites.  At least two (for group size 4-6) or one (for group size 1-3) students per site needs to be present. Campers will be given a camp check card that will be used to document their presence at camp checks.  A completed camp check card is needed to get your seat card day of game. Students without completed camp cards will not receive seat cards.

Q.  What if I miss a camp check?

A.  If you miss a camp check you may lose your camp site in line.

Q. I selected the North Inferno as my section at time of ticket distribution, can I still camp out?

A. Yes, it is preferred that you select the South Inferno, but North Inferno tickets can be used to get Camp Fargo permits.  However, all Camp Fargo seats are in the South Inferno.

Q.  I don't want to camp at all I just want to get my student ticket for the game.  What should I do?

For instructions, view the student ticketing email sent by Sun Devil Athletics or contact the ticket office at  480.727.0000 or sundeviltickets@asu.edu. Present your mobile ticket at the game to enter. Both the South and the North Inferno are general admission, excluding the first five rows of the South Inferno which is reserved for camping students.
