Coach Bobby Hurley's Sun Devil men's hoops team will face another 2017 NCAA Tournament team at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, as it has been announced that ASU will face Kansas State on Thanksgiving (Nov. 23) at 4:30 p.m. PT/5:30 p.m. MT on FS1 at Orleans Arena.
Led by sixth-year head coach Bruce Weber, Kansas State returns nine lettermen, including four players with starting experience, from a team that won 21 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in five seasons. The Wildcats will be led in 2017-18 by juniors Barry Brown (11.7 ppg., 3.2 rpg.), Kamau Stokes (11.7 ppg., 4.1 apg.) and Dean Wade (9.3 ppg., 4.5 rpg.), who each started all 35 games as sophomores in 2016-17.
ASU and the Wildcats have met eight times, the last time an 84-80 Kansas State win the 1998 Maui Invitational.

Always one of the top early season tournaments of the college basketball season, the past champions of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational reads like a "Who's Who" of college basketball: Illinois (2005), Kansas (2006 and 2010), North Carolina (2007), Kentucky (2008) and Oklahoma State (2009). In the 2011 title game, UNLV upset #1 North Carolina 90-80. Creighton (2012), UCLA (2013), Illinois (2014), West Virginia (2015) and last year's champion Butler University (2016).
Each team will play four games in the Invitational – the first two at on-campus sites and the final two rounds at the Orleans Arena November 23-24. ASU will host Northern Arizona (Nov. 17) and UC Irvine (Nov. 19) prior to its games in Las Vegas.
Hosting more than 200 events each year, the Orleans Arena is located just west of the Las Vegas strip and was recently named the #1 mid-size arena in the USA by Venues Today magazine.
