Freshman Alejandro Del Rey Gonzalez is 3-under through 31 holes at the 71st Annual Transamerica/(WFG) Western Intercollegiate held Pasatiempo Golf Club (par-70/6,615 yards) in Santa Cruz, Calf.

Del Rey Gonzalez shot even-par 70 in the first round and is 3-under through 13 holes in the second round before darkness set in. Classmate Chun An Yu is 4-under through 15 in the second round and even overall.

The pair are both in the top-10, as Del Rey Gonzalez is tied for third and An Yu tied fo ninth. Alejandro has eight birdies and 19 pars in the first 31 holes.

Pac-12 teams dominate the scoreboard, as USC is at 8-under to lead the field, followed by Stanford (even), Washington (+6), Oregon (+9) and ASU (+13). UCLA, Arizona and California also are part of the 15-team field. Justin Suh of USC leads the way at 5-under (68 in first round).
