The Sun Devil men's golf team travels to the 71st Annual Transamerica/(WFG) Western Intercollegiate at the Alister MacKenzie designed, Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz California April 8-9.

LAST TIME OUT: Heading into this weekend, the ASU men's golf team posted its second win of head coach Matt Thurmond's first season with a convincing 41-under 811 (266-265-280) victory at the 45th annual Thunderbird Invitational at ASU's Karsten Golf Course. ASU won by 20 strokes over UNLV, while the Sun Devil "B" team also played well, finishing third with an 18-under 834 (280-276-278).

JARED NOTES: On March 22, Sun Devil Senior captain Jared du Toit was named a finalist for the prestigious Byron Nelson Award, in an announcement made by the Golf Coaches Association of America. With six top-10 finishes and two individual titles to his credit, du Toit has excelled on the links over the course of the 2016-17 campaign. Currently ranked as the No. 10 World Amateur in the WAGR™, du Toit has represented Canada's top rated amateur for the duration of the season. Most recently, du Toit notched his second-consecutive top-5 finish, as the Canuck carded a two-day, 54-hole cumulative nine-under, 204 to help pace the Sun Devils to a record shattering 41-under, first-place finish at the Arizona State-hosted Thunderbird Invitational.
