TEMPE, Ariz. -- With five consecutive wins to their credit including victories over Pac-12 conference affiliates Stanford and California the No. 18 Arizona State beach volleyball team (15-14, 3-4 Pac-12) will travel south to Tucson, Ariz. for the 2017 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships, hosted by the University of Arizona Thursday through Saturday.

The Sand Devils will compete in the team bracket on Thursday and Friday, before partaking in the pairs bracket Friday and Saturday.
 
THE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
In Thursday's double-elimination championship, ASU drew the No. 4 seed, and will open against No. 5 Stanford at 12 p.m. PT. The winner will take on the victor of 1 p.m. slated match between No. 1 seed USC and No. 8 Utah/No. 9 Oregon . The Pac-12 Team Championship will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. PT, featuring the respective champions of the winners and contenders bracket.
 
THE PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP
The pairs bracket will set the No. 1s and No. 2s from each of the Pac-12 schools against one another in single-elimination format. The duos of Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette, the No. 3 seed, and Madison Berridge and Oluoma Okaro, the No. 11 seed, will represent the Sand Devils in the competition.
 
Arellano and Follette will open against Oregon's No. 14 seeded Lindsey Vander Weide and Brooke Van Sickle Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. PT, while Berridge and Okaro will kick start pairs play against USC's Sophie Bukovec and Allie Wheeler, the No. 6 overall seed at 4 p.m. PT.
 
Four respective quarterfinals matches will be held the following Saturday morning at 9 a.m. PT, followed by a pair of semi-finals duals at 11 a.m. PT, culminating in the Pac-12 Pairs Championship at 1 p.m PT.

SUN DEVIL BEACH VOLLEYBALL EARNS FIRST SWEEP OF PAC-12 SCHOOL
The ASU beach volleyball team earned its first sweep of a Pac-12 school in program history on Saturday, April 22, with a 5-0 victory over the Stanford Cardinal at the PERA Club. The No. 1 duo of seniors Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette showed much determination with a 29-27 second-set win after winning the first set, 21-15. Ellyson Lundberg and Katelyn Carballo in the No. 3 spot completed the sweep for the Sun Devils after battling back from a first-set loss, 18-21, 21-18, 15-13.
 
SUN DEVIL BEACH VOLLEYBALL FINISHES REGULAR SEASON WITH WINNING RECORD FOR FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY
For the first time in the still young history of the Arizona State beach volleyball program, the Sun Devils posted a winning record at the end of the regular season with their 5-0 sweep of Stanford on Saturday, April 22.
 
The win marked the 15th victory of the season which is also the most wins in program history in a single season.
 
FOLLETTE AND ARELLANO HOLD RECORD FOR MOST WINS IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The No. 1 senior duo of Whitney Follette and Bianca Arellano finished their regular season careers at the PERA Club with the winningest record in program history with a total 39 wins. The pair still has time to add to that number at the conference championship this weekend. Individually, Follette holds 59 wins to her name, the most in program history, while Arellano has 57 of her own, the second most.
 
Fellow senior Madison Berridge has 29 wins to her credit, currently the third-most individual wins in program history.
